Solid cardboard is known for its strength and is well suited for use in damp environments, such as cold stores and throughout long cold chains. It consists of several layers of largely recycled cardboard that are fully bonded together. This makes it thin, tear-resistant and dimensionally stable, even when the product is packed whilst wet.
When should you choose solid cardboard?

Solid board properties
Solid cardboard remains sturdy where other packaging materials weaken. Thanks to a moisture-resistant PE coating, the tray retains its shape for longer, even when used for wet products and in cold storage. As the walls are thin, more product fits onto each pallet and in each consignment.
